Pupil Premium Strategy Statement 2025-26

Our key approach to Pupil Premium at Carlton Primary School

At Carlton Primary School we focus on:

  • A drive and focus on ‘Quality First’ teaching across school with a strong and positive Teaching and Learning culture, agreed certainties and shared pedagogical approach
  • A strong, caring and inclusive vision shared by all of the school team
  • Partnership working with leading professionals
  • Using evidence-based research to inform decisions made for the use of Pupil Premium funding
  • Targeting specific support for pupils who most need it
  • Committing to be reflective and evaluative in all we do

We believe that the above factors and approaches will ultimately support us in raising standards and outcomes (progress and attainment). We want all our pupils, including those facing barriers or disadvantage, to achieve, feel a sense of belonging and to thrive.

In line with our vision and values, Carlton Primary School seeks to ensure the effectiveness of its use of the Pupil Premium funding.  As a result, we have based our spending priorities on high quality research such as the EEF Toolkit.

Please have a read of our current Pupil Premium Strategy document above for further details of our plans.

Who is eligible for Pupil Premium?

We up-date our records annually to make sure we have an accurate account of the school population.  However, if your circumstances change please inform the school office.

If you require further information about Pupil Premium please speak to Mrs Smith (SENDCo) or myself, as Pupil Premium lead in school.
